Funeral Details of Revd Maurice Wright
The
funeral of Revd. Maurice Wright will take place on November 2nd,
All Souls Day, in Shrewsbury at two locations- Emstry Crematorium
at 1045 and Bayston Hill Methodist Church at 1130. People are
invited to Bayston Hill from 1110 onwards for 1130. Both services
will be lead by The Revd. Jonathan Hustler, son in law of Revd.
Maurice Wright.
As Revd. Maurice has been such a prominent and well loved
minister across the District (and beyond) we anticipate a
great number of people to come pay their respects and share
condolences with the family.
With that in mind Bayston Hill has limited parking capacity and
we encourage being mindful neighbours when parking to be aware of
local bus stops and parking areas. If you haven’t already, please
consider public transport (there is a bus stop just outside the
church) or car sharing, with gratitude for the environmental
consideration.
We continue to hold Janet, Lesley and Phillip, along with their
families in prayer and support and celebrate Maurice’s ministry
amongst us.
Yours in Fellowship,
Revd. MacNeill Cooper
On behalf of Shrewsbury Methodists
(Bayston Hill)

This worship outline is
designed to be flexible. Feel free to
choose your own hymns and prayers, or
tailor your service so it works for you and
your congregation. You can pick and choose
ideas, and swap in some of your own.
Thank you to the President
and Vice-President of the Methodist
Conference, the Revd Gill Newton and Kerry
Scarlett, the Revd Barbara Glasson, and the
Revd Mike Long for providing materials for
this worship outline.
This year we also have a
make your own bauble to hang on your tree
at home or in church. We'd love to see your
photos of these and your other Christmas
activities in support of our work.
Finally, thank you so much
for your continued support. You help us to
make sure more children grow up safe and

Research shows that as many
as one in five children and young people
are young carers. Caring for someone can be
very isolating, worrying and stressful. For
young carers, this can negatively impact
their experience in education. Over a
quarter of young carers aged 11-15
regularly miss school. This can have a
lasting effect on their life chances. Read
our blog about young carers and how Action
for Children support them here.

From carol singing at the
local railway station to spring plant
sales, our church supporters are so
inspiring to us. In the year 2022/23 you
raised an incredible £675,000. At a time
that is so challenging for so many with the
cost of living crisis, we are enormously
grateful for this support. Thank you to
each and every person who have supported us
in the last year!
